防止船舶机舱内与发动机或发电机相连的油管中的燃油、润滑油等可燃油飞溅而引起火灾的发生。经修订的SOLAS条例IIU-2/15.2.11规定，燃油管道应经过筛选或以其他方式进行适当保护，以尽可能避免油雾或油泄漏到热表面、机械进气口或其他火源。管道、阀门、压力表或任何其他辅助零件因振动、疲劳、材料劣化、过度张力而松动，并容易因针孔或裂纹而损坏。用该防溅胶带覆盖，以保护排气管和其他高温设备不受可燃油飞溅的影响，并防止可能发生的火灾。该胶带是由芳纶编织布和铝箔在两侧叠加而成，在一侧涂上粘合剂并用隔离膜覆盖。适当使用时，胶带可承受20 kgf/cm2 2~30 kgf/cm2的显著压力。

For preventing outbreak of a fire caused by a splash of combustible oil, such as fuel oil, lubricating oil, etc. from oil pipes connected to an engine or a generator in a ship's engine room. Amended SOLAS regulation IIU-2/15.2.11 stipulate that oil fuel line shall be screened or otherwise suitably protected to avoid as far as practicable oil spray or oil leakage onto hot surfaces, into machinery air intakes, or other sources of ignition. Pipings, valves, pressure gauges, or any other auxiliary parts become loose due to vibration, fatigue, deterioration of material, excess tension, and tend to be damaged with a pinhole or crack. Covering with this anti-splashing tape to protect the exhaust pipe and other high temperature equipments from being exposed to splashes of combustible oil and preventing possible occurrence of a fire. The tape consists of aramid woven cloth superimposed with aluminium foil on both sides, and an adhesive agent is applied to one side and covered by a separator film. The tape can withstand prominent pressure of 20 kgf/cm2 2~30 kgf/cm2 when applied properly.
